What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga therapy is an emerging field in the U.S. that harnesses the power of yoga for healing purposes. Unlike regular yoga, yoga therapy is primarily administered in a clinical setting for the purpose of improving such conditions as anxiety, depression, insomnia and pain. Hailing from an Indian tradition, yoga therapists custom-design a series of movements based on their client’s physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
