Aside from avoiding stress and negative emotional habits, nutrition is probably the single most important factor in maintaining good health. I highly recommend getting your blood tested to make sure your vitamin and mineral levels are adequate.
Vitamin D3 level should be at least 50, which is super important for a strong immune system. Though there is not a good test for magnesium, most people in America are deficient. If you are constipated, have frequent muscle aches or cramps, or have trouble sleeping (particularly if you are taking a vitamin D supplement), try taking magnesium citrate or boost your intake of leafy greens.
Those are just a couple of very important nutrients that many people are deficient in. Talk to a good nutritionist or naturopath for advice if you are not feeling your best. Most medical doctors have had only a few hours of nutritional education, so they are not the best source of information about nutrition or supplements.
