I use Japanese Knotweed and make my own capsules now. I had a herx reaction to Teasel and researched about the use of Knotweed to help calm the bact. kill-off affects. It helped tremendously and I am still taking it as a protective measure

I've actually been making a moderately strong tea from the wild japanese knotweed root, drinking it 2-3 times daily on an empty stomach. it assuages or eliminates my Lyme symptoms greatly, and i feel the relief begin within about 20 minutes. Amazing herb!!

You can take it as an herb in a capsule or as a tincture. I like the non-alcoholic tinctures better. They are made with glycerite. I also use Teeasel tincture too. If you are herxing, try a lower dose and then move back up to your goal dose according to Buhner's recommendations. But always listen to your body and stay in the zone that is working for you and your body. Always build up to that dose by starting low and slow.
