I have been taking it for just over a week now and my pain has less and less each day. I'm stunned. Who woulda thunk? Turmeric? No way! But believe me people, this stuff works better that vicodin for me but without the side affects. Also, I got a bottle of 90 for only $7.00 at wal-mart. It's helping me sleep better too.

It's not like I did a double blind trial... but I am taking turmeric for now 4-5 months, not perfectly observant, but it does seem to correlate very well with less pain in the morning. I have one of these backs that are somewhat sore in the morning (can't stay in be too long except with ibuprofen the night before). Turmeric helps. I think it's very effective considering Im not identifying any side effect. I use turmeric root powder from the local health store (locally grown organic), about a tea spoon in a glass of milk at bed time.

Just eat right and consume the proper nutrition and life is insuranceless!! OMG!! Turmeric takes back, knee, pains away that you dont even realize you had a problem a week ago!! I cook with it. After seeing Turmeric touted as helpful for back pain and sciatica I gave it a try, and I have to say that it has made a difference. It no longer feels as though there is a vice like grip on my hips and lower back. I have only been taking it a couple of days so will need to find out if there is any long term effect.
Turmeric can work wonders, and can also be added to food! How many capsules are you taking each day to notice the shift in pain?
