There's a tea with licorice in it called "Smooth Move" (haha) by Traditional Medicine. You can get it at larger markets such as Safeway, but the tea really helps with digestion, which is related to heartburn...

Works like a charm w/o all of the side effects of prescription medication. The only drawback is having to remember to take it before each meal, but it's a habit that's really worth getting into.

Thanks for sharing your experience! How often did you drink the smooth move tea when you were having digestion/heartburn problems?
It depends, the longer you steep the tea, the more potent it is...so it really depends on that and how stopped up you are!
