Shared experience with Migraine Headache and NSAIDs 13 years ago

The only thing that has ever worked for my migraines are prescription meds. A few years on Imitrex and then I started having to double up on those (which isnt good) so we swiched to Maxalt. BUT even though I havent gotten any other aspirin or non-prescription drug to work on my headaches, every once in a while a 500mg dose of Naproxin will work if it isnt too bad and I catch it early enough. That dosage is prescription only but you can take two 220mg Alieve, which is also Naproxen. Just make sure there is food in your stomach.

Shared experience with Migraine Headache and Acupuncture 13 years ago

I havent done it regularly enough, but out of three times I went while I was in the early stages of a migraine, one of those times the migraine went away with acupuncture. Had it done in a chinese herb shop in Chinatown, SF.
