Are you serious in saying "safe upper intake level (UL) of vitamin E for adults is set at 1,000 mg daily" (around 1500 IU) ???
The US Government Health Bodies recommend no more than around 300 IU of Vitamin E and in the UK, its no more than 500 IU under any conditions - as this may cause very bad side-effects and even death of the patient!
High doses of some other Vitamins (like B12) are fine but not Vitamin E as far as I understand.
