My experience on the ACE inhibitor was that it effectively lowered my blood pressure, but made me very tired. I developed a frequent dry cough that I could not control with cough drops, teas, or cough medicines. I switched to a direct renin inhibitor and have maintained good low blood pressure with no cough, and little fatigue.

Good to hear you found something that worked better for you! Has the direct renin inhibitor caused any side-effects other than the fatigue?

I have not noticed any other effects. I feel better when I take it at night, instead of in the morning.
